A teaching apprenticeship is a vital and integral part of preparing undergraduate and graduate students for future careers in academia or industry because of the skills gained in communication, public speaking, and teaching of large and small groups. Thorough training and development is provided for all teaching apprentices.

Graders: The Department employs undergraduates to assist with grading of the undergraduate labs and some lecture courses. This is good preliminary experience for moving on to a teaching apprenticeship. It exposes you to the teaching methods of the Department and also gives you a chance to build a reputation as a dependable and capable member of a teaching team. If you will be a registered undergraduate student in FALL 2008 , click here to apply. Others should contact Alejandro Vasquez.
