How To Search "ChemCycle" and How to Submit a Request to "ChemCycle"
A. Enter any of the following:
  • Name of chemical (full or in part using "%" as a wildcard
  • Chemical abstract number (CAS#)

B. Submit the query to receive a list of chemicals matching the criteria you entered. Use your browser's BACK button to return to the ChemCycle screen.

Step-by-Step for Requesting a Chemical (using the e-mail link to chemcycle):
A. Highlight and copy [with your cursor] the entire line of information for each chemical you want to order.

B. Press your browser's BACK button to return to the ChemCycle screen.

C. Click on chemcycle@ucsd.edu to open an e-mail message addressed to ChemCycle. Leave the subject line blank.

D. Type the following information in the message body:

  • Your name
  • Principal investigator
  • Building and room number
  • Phone number
  • Comments or specific delivery location instructions

E. Paste the copied chemical information into the e-mail.
Repeat the search, highlight, copy and paste steps for each additional chemical requested.

F. Send the e-mail to complete your request.

G. Your order will be delivered during the next regularly scheduled hazardous waste collection for your building.

"HAZARDOUS WASTE PICKUP REQUEST" form.
Designate for "CHEMCYCLE" on the yellow waste tag attached to item.
