Neal K. Devaraj joins our biochemistry division in the fall of 2011. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Devaraj earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Stanford University in 2007.

Ross Walker joins our physical chemistry division in the fall of 2010. He is also an Assistant Research Scientist at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. Dr. Walker earned his Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry in 2003 from Imperial College London.

Navtej Toor

Navtej Toor joins our biochemistry division in the fall of 2009. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale University and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Dr. Toor earned his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with a specialization in RNA biochemistry in 2004 from the University of Calgary.

Francesco Paesani

Francesco Paesani joins our physical chemistry division as an assistant professor in the fall of 2009. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Utah. He received his Ph.D. in theoretical physical chemistry from the University of Rome in 2000.

Timothy Bertram

Timothy H. Bertram joins our physical chemistry division as an assistant professor in the fall of 2009. He is currently a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Climate and Global Change Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Washington. He received his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006.

In addition to appointment as Professor in the Graduate Department of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, he holds administrative appointments as Vice Chancellor, Marine Sciences, Dean of the Graduate School of Marine Sciences, and Director, Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
