Mentors for all applicants must be members in good standing of the Division of Medicinal Chemistry. The American Association of University Women (AAUW) International Fellowships* Opens in August, Deadline in November Support for women pursuing full-time graduate or postdoctoral study in the United States who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Chateaubriand Fellowship*  Opens in October, Deadline in January  Applicants who wish to conduct part of their doctoral research in a French laboratory in France for a period ranging from 4 to 9 months.

Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program (National Academies of Sciences)* Opens in June Graduate students and those who have completed graduate studies within the last five years may apply. Spend 12 weeks at the Academies in Washington, DC. Stipend to offset expenses for 12-week session in Washington, DC. US Citizen/Permanent Resident, U.S. nationals, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and non-US citizens holding visas under specific categories listed (F-1, J-2, J-1). 
Dept of Energy Office of Science Graduate Student Research Program (DOE SCGSR) Annually November Applicants must have obtained Ph.D. candidacy, and must have established a defined graduate thesis project and graduate thesis advisor.  Supplemental award to support part of a graduate student’s thesis research to be conducted at a DOE laboratory/facility; includes travel to the laboratory and a monthly stipend of up to $3,000  US Citizen/Permanent Resident
Faculty for the Future Fellowship (Schlumberger Foundation)* Opens in September, Deadline November

Applicants must be female and a citizen of a developing country or emerging economy. In addition:
*Proven track record of teaching experience or can demonstrate commitment to teaching
*Active participation in faculty life and outreach programs to encourage young women into the sciences
*Willing to contribute to the socio-economic development of their home country and region by strengthening the faculties in their home university, pursuing relevant research, or using their specific expertise to address public policy matters.

Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowships  Annually, December Applicants must be planning a career in teaching and research at the college or university level in a research-based field of science. Applicants require a minimum of three years of study to complete their Ph.D. degree.

Predoctoral: $24,000/yr for three years

Applicants must:

• be from gender, racial, ethnic and other groups underrepresented in the life sciences, including those individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.

• have been accepted to join a laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher at an academic research institution located in the U.S.

IRACDA Postdoctoral Fellowship Program Oct. 15 / Apr. 15 Provides 3 years of mentored post-doc research experience for biomedical scientists. Applicants can be near graduation, new PhDs, or postdocs with up to 2 years of training. Josephine De Karman Fellowship* Annually, January Applicants must be in the final year of a PhD program $22,000 for one year US Citizen/Permanent Resident, international students may apply if they are already enrolled in a university located in the US and if they will be in the US by the July preceding the fall semester of the academic year for which they have enrolled.

PhRMA Foundation Pre Doctoral Fellowships (Pharmaceutics) Annually, September Submission by the university, limited to one application per institution. Applicants must hold a Pharm.D. or a B.S. or M.S. from an accredited school in pharmacy or a related area, such as chemistry, biology or engineering. Applicants should expect to complete the requirements for the Ph.D. in two years or less from the time the fellowship begins. $20,000 in stipend support per year for one or two years US Citizen/Permanent Resident
Science, Mathematics & Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program Opens August Deadline December Applicants should be willing to accept post-graduate employment with the DoD, able to participate in summer internships at DoD laboratories, have a strong interest in working for the DoD as a civilian research scientist or engineer. Switzer Environmental Fellowships Annually, January Open to top graduate students in California who demonstrate outstanding leadership potential and who are committed to a career in environmental improvement. Applicants at the PhD level must plan to have completed at least three years of doctoral work.
