Professor Robert Continetti, Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Diversity Awards University-wide Award Recipient for 2011. Continetti, who chaired the Chancellors Diversity Council (2009-11), is being recognized for exemplifying the UC San Diego Principles of Community. Nominations recognize those individuals, departments and organizational units who made outstanding efforts in furthering diversity, equal opportunity and affirmative action at UC San Diego. Physical Sciences Dean Thiemens is a University-wide Award Recipient for 2010.
